Hi Florida Burners!
We just sailed into St Pete from Reno, NV! We're positively interested in finding out what's going on in the area of Fire Spinning and Drum Circles near St Pete? As well, we read a few sites saying there were Drum Circles on the beach, any gorilla Burns happening on the shores?
Looking forward to meeting you all!

Re: New Burners to St Pete Area!!
Fri, March 14, 2008 - 6:10 AMWelcome to the Burg! You're going to love it here. Lots of great, live music (I saw a kickass reggae band last night), tons of drum circles, wonderful restaurants, beautiful weather, a cool downtown scene and nice people.
Def. check out the drum circle on Treasure Island. It happens every Sunday at sunset. You might also like the Blueberry Patch. The Patch has gatherings on the 1st, 7th, 11th and 22nd of every month , so if you should check it out at sunset until.. it's the oldest living artists retreat in florida and a very beautiful place to hang out, hear music and meet great friends! located 4920 20th ave south in gulfport, florida. small donation at the door is appreciated. Burning Brother takes place here, but I'm not sure when it happens. They also allow fire spinning, which is great for us hoop dancers. Are you a hooper too? The Patch is kind of a hard place to explain.... here's a video, if that helps at all :)

I look forward to meeting you! -

Thanks for your Positively great response! My boyfriend and I visited the link for the video to the Blueberry Patch, and we were ecstatic to See that there is such a cool place in Florida for Artists to Gather! We'll be going on the 22nd! Thank You so much for the info!
I have heard about the Treasure Island drum circle, and we are planning to go this Sunday as well! I sincerely can't Imagine a better scene than the sounds and sights of Djembe's accompanied by the roar of the ocean! Do you play at all?
I'm not a fire hooper... as of yet... I'd love to learn! I'm a little better with poi, though still learning!
Look Forward To Meeting You! I hope to See You out At The Blueberry Patch or the Treasure Island Drum Circle!
Peace,

Tue, March 25, 2008 - 10:35 AMCricket - I'm going to do my best to make it to the TI Drum circle this Sun. Look for me there. I know the majority of hoop dancers who go out there, so even if you walk up to someone and it's not me, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Planning to do the Patch on the 1st also. Was out of town this past weekend, so I had to miss it. I look forward to meeting you guys!
